County News
My name is Crystal Babb Grose. I am running for the Lafayette County School Board as a representative of district three. I have lived in Lafayette County my entire life and have lived in Abbeville for over eight years. My husband, Rusty Grose, and I are parents to three children that are currently attending Lafayette county schools. I graduated from Lafayette High school in 2003. From there I attended the University of Mississippi and Northwest Mississippi Community college before beginning my career in healthcare. I’ve been working at Baptist Memorial hospital in Oxford, MS for over 16 years as a Respiratory Therapist, caring for many people in our community and the surrounding areas.
My core values are faith, family, community, compassion, and integrity. I have always thought highly of our school and love to see the children that have been a part of its journey succeed. I have always had a heart for serving people. I actively serve at Anchor Baptist church on the Children and Youth ministry committees and enjoy that work immensely. I was lucky to have an opportunity in 2016 to volunteer with the elementary school directly, helping students in kindergarten to catch up with their peers. I wholeheartedly enjoyed doing that and have been searching for other ways that I can help in our school district.
With the help of voters in District 3 I would like to work with our school system to ensure the best education for our children. My goals are to help promote student success by giving them the best learning environment so that they can achieve their highest potential and go on to have successful adult lives, and support our teachers and coaches and ensure that they have the tools necessary to help our students succeed, If you give me your vote on November 5th, I will work to ensure our school district remains one of the top schools in Mississippi.
