Hi, I am Shane Russell. I am running for the Lafayette County School Board to make a positive impact in our community and shape a better future for our children through education. As a proud father of a 6-year-old daughter in first grade, I am deeply invested in the educational success of our district. Having graduated from Lafayette High School and the University of Mississippi, I understand the importance of education in fostering a strong community. As a lifelong resident of Lafayette County, I know the challenges a fast-growing community faces.

If elected, I will prioritize wise spending of taxpayer dollars, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to support our students and schools. I am a strong advocate for our teachers, who are the backbone of our educational system, and I will work diligently to support their needs. As our community grows, I am committed to helping us grow responsibly, ensuring that we continue to provide excellent educational opportunities for all. Together, we can achieve our vision of “growing together through education.”
