Residential structures in subdivisions and all commercial structures are required to have a building permit.
To apply for a building permit, you must fill out either a Residential Building Permit or a Commercial Building Permit. This application, along with your building plans, should be submitted to the Development Services Department either in person or via email. They can be found on the Building & Planning Department page, or by visiting the department in person.
Each permit will have a base fee of $150 plus $.30 per living area square foot or commercial structure valuation. We only accept checks or money orders as payment.
