The Lafayette County road manager is appointed by the Board of Supervisors to operate a county-wide road management system. Responsibilities of the county road manager are in accordance with Section 65-17-1 of the Mississippi Code. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Preparing the preliminary budget for road department operations
- Maintenance and construction of the county roads and bridges during the proposed year
