Lafayette County citizens can choose among four ways to register to vote:
By mail: You may also print out the mail-in voter registration application and mail it to the Circuit Clerk’s Office. The address is: 1 Courthouse Sq., Ste. 101 Oxford, MS 38655
At the Circuit Clerk’s office: The Circuit Clerk’s office is located at 1 Courthouse Square, Suite 101, Oxford, MS 38655.
At City Hall: City Hall is located at 107 Courthouse Square, Oxford, MS 38655.
While getting your driver’s license: The Lafayette County Department of Motor Vehicles is located at 101 Center Ridge Rd, Oxford, MS 38655.
Registration must be accomplished at least 30 days prior to the first election in which a citizen wishes to vote.
Once registered, a voter will receive a voter registration card in the mail identifying your voting precinct location, address and district.
If you need to update your address for the voter registration database, you must notify the Circuit Clerk’s office in writing. You can do this by visiting the Circuit Clerk’s office or mailing a letter to 1 Courthouse Square, Suite 101, Oxford, MS 38655.
