Information about a crime not actively taking place should be reported to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department at (662) 234-6421 or Lafayette County Crime Stoppers at (662) 234-8477. While it is not necessary to identify yourself to dispatch, this would greatly help the course of the investigation.
It is only necessary to call 911 when a medical, police or fire emergency is taking place.
