Assistance is available for residents who experienced damage from the January 23–27 winter ice storm. In-person FEMA and SBA specialists are here to help you begin your recovery.

Now Open: The Lafayette County Disaster Recovery Center opens at 12:00 PM on Monday, April 27, 2026. Regular hours begin Tuesday, April 28. No appointment needed — walk-ins welcome.

U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA)

Low-interest disaster loans available to homeowners, renters, and businesses of all sizes for repair and recovery costs.

MEMA

Mississippi Emergency Management Agency representatives providing state-level recovery guidance and referrals.

Voluntary & Community Organizations

Volunteer agencies and community partners may be present to provide additional recovery resources and referrals.

⚠️ Don’t have everything? Come anyway. Specialists can still help you begin the process and advise on what to gather for follow-up.

What to Expect When You Arrive

🚶 No appointment needed. Walk in during business hours. Specialists will greet you and direct you to the right assistance area.
⏱️ Plan for 1–2 hours. Wait times vary. Arriving early in the day or mid-week typically means shorter waits.
🗣️ Language assistance is available. Translation and interpretation services are provided at no cost. Inform staff of your language needs upon arrival.
Accessible facility. The Lafayette County Multipurpose Arena is ADA accessible. If you have access or functional needs, inform staff upon arrival.
👨‍👩‍👧 Bring your household. All affected household members should be present or accounted for. One registration per household address.
