Employment applications may be mailed to the County Administrator’s Office at the following address: 300 N. Lamar Blvd., Oxford, MS 38655 or P.O. Box 1240, Oxford, MS 38655. Applications may also be delivered directly to the department that has posted the job opportunity.

For 911 Dispatch applications, please use the “911 Dispatch Application for Employment” instead of the General Employment Application.

• Sheriff’s Department and Jail are accepting applications at this time.
• Lafayette County Development Services Inspector This is a full-time Inspector position.  Inspector shall perform building and subdivision inspections for compliance with Lafayette Building Codes and Subdivision regulations and perform E-911 services and assignment of E-911 addresses.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:*High School Diploma or GED Equivalent*Valid Driver’s License

  *Complete background check.

  *Resident of Lafayette County

  *Obtain ICC Certification in construction elements w/in established time frame.

  KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY

  Knowledgeable in construction, plumbing, gas and electrical.  Ability to read blueprints and maps.  Basic computer operation for scheduling, bookkeeping, and records management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
